We are now looking for a furnishing steward for the Conference Department

 

Skills & qualifications needed 

  • Fluent in English language - both written and spoken
  • You are flexible - there is always a lot of changes happening in the Conference Operations department, therefore you need to join with flexibility and open-mindedness
  • You are able to navigate in a high pressure environment - challenges and changes occur on a daily basis, no two days are the same at the Conference Operations department 
  • You are proactive
  • You are able to work independently and efficiently 
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • You have a positive and problem solving attitude
  • Previous experience with conference furnishing  and /or moving companies is an advantage, but not a requirement



Physical requirements 

  • You are able to lift and move heavy furniture, as needed. (Aids are of course available)
  • You are able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during event setup and breakdown.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the setup and arrangement of conference furniture, including tables, chairs, podiums, and other equipment
  • Ensure furniture placement is in line with event requirements, maximizing space and comfort for attendees and presenters.
  • Ensure that the set up is aligned with the fire safety requirements, they are clean and sanitized prior to each event.
  • Coordinate with the Conference Supervisor or event planners about the last minute changes that might occur. 
  • Make sure that all furniture items are in good condition and inform the Conference Supervisor to arrange for repairs or replacements when necessary.
