About the Role
As a Kitchen Porter (Kjøkkenassistent) at Clarion Hotel Oslo, you are the backbone of our kitchen and Service team. Your efficiency and dedication ensure that our chefs and waiters can deliver exceptional dining experiences across our restaurant, banquets, and busy breakfast service. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standards of hygiene and organization that define a top modern hotel kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
Hygiene and Sanitation: Washing and sanitizing all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and serving equipment.

Organization and Flow: Ensuring clean equipment is promptly returned to the chefs and placed correctly.

Waste Management: Efficiently handling and sorting waste, including cardboard, glass, and general refuse.

Cleaning: Maintaining the cleanliness of the dishwashing area, floors, walls, and walk-in refrigerators according to our internal hygiene procedures.

Support: Assisting chefs with basic tasks, moving ingredients, and organizing storage areas (dry storage, fridge, and freezer).

Delivery & Stock: Receiving and organizing goods deliveries as required.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are searching for an energetic, reliable, and hardworking individual who values teamwork and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items.

Hygiene Focus: A strong understanding of and commitment to food safety and sanitation (HACCP/IK Mat knowledge is a plus).

Team Player: A positive attitude and willingness to support all kitchen colleagues.

Reliability: Excellent punctuality and a commitment to scheduled shifts, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Language: Basic knowledge of Norwegian or English is required for communication with the team.
