Arbeiðsuppgávur

Sum køksleiðari í veitslukøkinum fert tú at:

  • Reka ein fjøltáttaðan veitslukøk við egnum toymi – har tú tryggjar dygd, effektivitet og minniligar matupplivingar fyri gestirnar.
  • Arbeiða sjálvstøðugt við fyrireiking, framleiðslu og borðreiðing av mati til veitslur, móttøkur, ráðstevnur og størri tiltøk.
  • Menna matskráir og tilboð í samstarvi við leiðslu og tænaratoymið – við denti á frískum rávørum og eini vælskipaðari framleiðslu.
  • Tryggja, at allur matur verður framleiddur sambært góðskukrøvum, reinføri og HACCP-reglum.
  • Luttaka í menningini av mat- og veitslutilboðum á hotellinum og umboða Hotel Føroyar á tiltøkum í Føroyum og uttanlands.

Vit ímynda okkum, at tú

  • Hevur útbúgving sum kokkur og royndir innan veitslur, sjálvtøkuborð og stóra framleiðslu.
  • Arbeiðir skipað/ur og hevur gott yvirlit – eisini tá nógv er at gera.
  • Ert tænastusinnað/ur, ágrýtin og ábyrgdarfull/ur, við evnum at leiða eitt toymi.
  • Dugir at arbeiða bæði sjálvstøðugt og í samstarvi við onnur.
  • Dugir væl at samskifta á føroyskum, donskum og enskum.
  • Leggur dent á góðsku, smakk og útsjónd, tá tað kemur til matgerð

This is a full-time position based in the banquet kitchen at Hotel Føroyar. The position starts on 1 January 2026.

Responsibilities

As the kitchen manager in the banquet kitchen, you will:

  • Run a diverse banquet kitchen with your own team - ensuring quality, efficiency, and memorable food experiences for our guests.

  • Work independently with preparation, production, and serving of food for banquets, receptions, conferences, and larger events.

  • Develop menus and offers in collaboration with management and the service team - with a focus on fresh ingredients and well-organized production.

  • Ensure that all food is produced in accordance with quality standards, hygiene regulations, and HACCP guidelines.

  • Take part in developing the hotel’s food and banquet offerings and represent Hotel Føroyar at events in the Faroe Islands and abroad.

We imagine that you

  • Are a trained chef with experience in banquets, buffets, and large-scale production.

  • Work in a structured manner and maintain a good overview - even when things get busy.

  • Are service-minded, driven, and responsible, with the ability to lead a team.

  • Can work both independently and collaboratively with others.

  • Communicate well in Faroese, Danish, and English.

  • Prioritize quality, taste, and presentation in your cooking.
