Arbeiðsuppgávur

Sum køksleiðari fert tú at:

  • Reka eina fjøltáttaða matstovu við egnum toymi – har tú setur tín dám á matskránna og tryggjar eina dygdargóða gestauppliving hvønn dag.
  • Arbeiða sjálvstøðugt við at menna nýggjar og góðskuríkar rættir og matskráir við staðbundnum rávørum.
  • Tryggja, at gestir fáa eina minniliga matuppliving
  • Halda gott reinføri, dygd og trygdarskipanir sambært HACCP-reglum.
  • Umboða hotellið á matar- og kokkatiltøkum í Føroyum og uttanlands.

Vit ímynda okkum, at tú

  • Hevur útbúgving sum kokkur og royndir innan à la carte, veitslur og sjálvtøkuborð.
  • Hevur áhugað fyri góðum mati og dugir at arbeiða við føroyskum rávørum.
  • Er tænastusinnað/-ur, ágrýtin, ábyrgdarfull/ur og hevur gott yvirlit – eisini tá nógv er at gera.
  • Ert skipað/ur, samstarvshugað/ur og dámar at arbeiða í einum toymi.
  • Dugir væl at samskifta á føroyskum, donskum og enskum.
  • Leggur dent á góðsku, smakk og útsjónd, tá tað kemur til matgerð

This is a full-time position based in the restaurant kitchen at Hotel Føroyar. The position starts on 1 January 2026.

Responsibilities

As the kitchen manager, you will:

  • Run a diverse restaurant with your own team - shaping the menu and ensuring a high-quality guest experience every day.

  • Work independently to develop new, high-quality dishes and menus using local ingredients.

  • Ensure that guests enjoy a memorable dining experience.

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, quality, and safety in accordance with HACCP regulations.

  • Represent the hotel at culinary and chef-related events in the Faroe Islands and abroad.

We imagine that you

  • Are a trained chef with experience in à la carte, banquets, and buffets.

  • Have a passion for good food and enjoy working with Faroese ingredients.

  • Are service-minded, driven, responsible, and able to maintain a good overview – even when things get busy.

  • Are organized, collaborative, and enjoy working as part of a team.

  • Communicate well in Faroese, Danish, and English.

  • Prioritize quality, taste, and presentation in your cooking.
