Our People Experience team consists of more than 25 colleagues across four Nordic locations. The team owns all yearly people processes and daily support to leaders in all things people. As our VP People Experience, you will lead our central People Experience department and build bridges to our People Performance Directors and key stakeholders.

The right person for this role lives at the intersection of high-level strategy and operational HR. You don’t just lead from an office; you understand our leaders' needs by using our products alongside them. You fly the flag for user insights, product development thinking, and lean methods to build a world-class people experience.

Finally, you're an ambassador for our culture of energy, courage and enthusiasm, living our values of inclusion and belonging for everyone.

The role reports to the Chief Service Officer (CSO) and is a part of the Hotel Services leadership team. The role is located in Oslo or Stockholm.

What you'll be doing

  • People Strategy: You will build, implement, and run a people strategy to ensure Strawberry is a great place to work, has room for all, and continues to reach business goals.
  • Lead the People Team: You will inspire and lead your teams across the Nordics to raise the bar on smart, agile ways of working to build high-quality, scalable services.
  • Union Relations: You’ll ensure we have strong union relations in all Nordic countries and lead high-level negotiations when needed.
  • Executive Advisory: You will provide high-level advisory on the most complex people cases and support senior management in people matters.
  • Safe and Responsible: You’ll ensure we are a safe and responsible employer, with the necessary level of compliance and governance—all the while keeping our culture alive.
  • The People Product: You will own the roadmap for our people tools and processes, ensuring they are user-friendly, digital-first, and actually solve problems for our 1,000+ leaders.
  • Organizational Design: You will act as a strategic partner in shaping how we are organized to ensure we stay fast, lean, and ready for growth.

We think your profile looks a bit like this

  • Trusted advisor: You are a trusted advisor for senior executives, known for handling demanding situations with a balance of professional discretion and a human touch.
  • Player-coach: You don’t sit back and lead from an office; you get your hands dirty and work alongside your team when the situation calls for it.
  • Experienced leader: You are an experienced leader of leaders, capable of managing high-performing, decentralized teams across different countries and cultures.
  • Driving change and innovation: You have a track record of initiating changes based on business needs and driving organization-wide change programs.
  • People strategy: You have extensive experience building and executing people strategy in complex, fast-moving and culture driven organizations.
  • Data-driven: You enjoy using data to spot trends and building scalable systems that simplify the employee lifecycle.
  • Labour law expertise: You have a deep, practical understanding of labor law and the "Nordic model," allowing you to navigate complex legal landscapes with ease.
