Norda Cocktail Bar is located on the 13th floor of the Clarion Hotel® the Hub, together with restaurant Norda. The nature-inspired decor is colorful and inviting, and the perfect place to enjoy cocktails made from Nordic-distilled spirits (such as BAREKSTEN and HIMKOK), alongside dishes made with fresh, local ingredients and herbs from our very own rooftop garden. Clameyers Hage offers a lovely setting with fine drinks and a relaxing terrace - the perfect place for a fantastic evening with friends or colleagues. See you on the 13th floor!

What’s the job like?

As a First Bartender in the Norda team, you have an elevated bartender responsibility and act as a key operational member of the service team. Together with the Head bartender, you are responsible for leading the service during your shift. You will create unforgettable experiences for the guests, you are the storyteller who will engage our guests with your knowledge and leave a lasting impression. 

Your main tasks include: 

• Responsible for delegating tasks during the shift together with the Head Bartender

• Responsible for opening and closing routines.

• Training new staff and ensuring that routines are followed.

• Serving food and drinks to our guests.

• Quality assurance of service and product.

• Comply with the Norwegian alcohol law.

• Maintaining the highest level of service and competence, making sure that guests are always served correctly and handled according to Clarion Hotels service standards.

The position involves shift work on weekdays and weekends. First Bartender reports to the Head Bartender.

You have good communication skills, experience from bartending, and your flavor profiles ensure you're well-equipped to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. Your adept multitasking skills shine whether you're working behind the bar or on the floor, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery. Committed to excellence, you consistently go above and beyond to exceed guest expectations, leaving a lasting impression with every interaction. The position requires that you can communicate well in Norwegian and/or English.
