Clarion Hotel The Edge is looking for our new lunch Sous Chef. We look for someone with a passion for cooking to join our team, be a leader and help create unforgettable lunch experiences for our guests. As a key member of our culinary staff, you’ll prepare delicious, high-quality dishes, contributing to menu development, and ensuring food is presented at its best. 

At Clarion, you are expected to elevate the quality of life for both your guests and your colleagues. You achieve this by staying professional, optimistic, and attentive in everything you do.

What you'll do:

  • Preparing dishes in accordance with the procedures, routines and profitability goals that have been established.
  • Daily mise en place
  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Assist in managing inventory, including ordering supplies, maintaining stock levels, and minimizing waste.

This is a permanent position for 100% with a start date to be agreed upon. The position requires working varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

  • You have a background in high-volume kitchens (hotels, large restaurants, or catering).
  • You are a logistics wizard—you see the big picture and the smallest garnish at the same time.
  • You lead by example. You’re the first one to step up when the pressure mounts and the last one to lose your smile.
  • You’re obsessed with quality and consistency. Whether it's a sourdough sandwich or a 3-course conference lunch, it has to be "The Edge" standard.

  • The "Owner" Mentality: You take initiative, solve challenges on the fly, and treat the restaurant as if it were your own.

  • Reliability: You are the rock the team leans on during a busy noon rush.
