Hotel St George, Helsinki, is looking for a talented, creative and experienced Baker. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of baking techniques, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for crafting sourdough bread and a classic Finnish bun.  As a key member of our culinary staff, you'll be preparing delicious, high-quality sourdough bread and a classic Finnish bun is presented at its best. 

What you'll do:

• Develop and prepare a wide variety of sourdough bread and a classic Finnish bun
• Ensure consistency and quality of sourdough bread and a classic Finnish bun
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain cost control
• Keep good communication with the immediate manager and the rest of the team.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

This is a temporary position in summer for 90 hours with a start date to be agreed upon. The position will be filled as soon as a good candidate is available. The position requires working varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

You’ll shine here if you are:

• Experienced from culinary education, formal training or bakery experience.
• Able to ensure the quality of every dish served, consistently adhering to presentation standards.
• Flexible and reliable, with a passion for creating great sourdough bread and a classic Finnish bun. 
  Comfortable multi-tasking and making decisions independently.

• Detailed track record of previous achievements within the culinary art of sourdough bread and a classic Finnish bun.
• Turning challenges into opportunities, managing multiple tasks, and keeping high standards, even when things get tough.
