We are looking for a Commercial Director Franchise to join our Profit & Distribution team, working closely with the Franchise department. In this role, you will act as a proactive bridge between our franchise hotels and our central commercial departments. You will play a key role in ensuring our franchise partners take full advantage of our services and experience the direct value of their membership.
We are looking for someone who is not only analytical, but also curious, proactive, and confident in engaging stakeholders — a true enabler for our franchise hotels. This is a hands-on role where you will work directly with commercial performance data to guide decisions, drive revenue strategies across departments, and help shape the future of our franchise offering.
The position is based at Strawberry's head office in Oslo or Stockholm and will involve some travelling within the Nordics.
What you will do
Commercial Bridge: Act as the primary link between franchise hotels, Revenue Managers, and central departments to align commercial strategies and ensure optimal performance.
Performance Monitoring & ROI: Track KPIs (RevPAR, occupancy, and distribution mix) to identify opportunities and refine the Franchise Value Proposition by demonstrating clear ROI to partners.
Strategic Growth & Sales: Participate in sales meetings and site visits to support hotel onboarding and ensure franchise hotels are prioritized in major corporate agreements.
Ecosystem Optimization: Support franchise partners in leveraging the full commercial ecosystem, focusing on channel management and shifting bookings from high-cost OTAs to direct channels.
Business Excellence & Training: Provide senior leadership with advanced reporting and tools while driving best-practice training in commercial systems for our franchise partners.
What we are looking for
At least 10+ years of commercial hospitality experience (Revenue, Sales, or Distribution) with a strong analytical mindset and proficiency in visualization tools.
A Master's degree in economics, analytics, or hospitality management (extensive relevant experience can compensate for part of a formal education).
A goal-oriented and proactive individual with the drive to develop commercial strategies across departments and the confidence to challenge the status quo.
Natural ability to act as a commercial spokesperson for our franchise hotels
Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations and present them effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Nice to have
Experience with specific commercial systems and platforms such as Cvent, Salesforce or GuestHouse.
Experience navigating international sales meetings or resort-specific commercial operations.
