Seasonal Pastry Chef (6-Month Contract)

As we prepare for an exceptionally busy autumn season, we are looking for a passionate and creative Seasonal Pastry Chef to join our dedicated team of 5 in the pastry department for a 6-month period, with the possibility of extension.

The right candidate possesses exceptional baking skills, a deep understanding of flavor combinations, and an eye for texture and presentation. Our large banquet department reflects the high volume and premium quality we deliver, while our brasserie requires a high degree of technical skill, taste, and creativity.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Plan and implement dessert and pastry menus tailored to our busy autumn and winter season.

  • Develop new recipes and concepts with a strong focus on innovation and quality.

  • Contribute to a positive team dynamic and share knowledge with the rest of the pastry team.

  • Ensure that all baked goods consistently meet our high standards for taste, appearance, and texture.

  • Oversee inventory management and order processing to secure access to fresh, seasonal ingredients.

  • Strictly comply with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar position.

  • Formal education in culinary arts or patisserie is highly beneficial.

  • Strong knowledge of advanced baking techniques and confectionery principles.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle high volumes during our peak season.

  • A highly creative mindset with meticulous attention to detail.

  • A team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
