The Role

As Manager, Commercial Systems & Platforms, you are the business owner of the commercial platform stack within the NHR Luxury & Lifestyle division. Your core responsibility is to drive the strategy for how our systems — most importantly GuestHouse, our proprietary booking engine — are configured, developed, and used to maximise commercial impact and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You are the central link between the division, Strawberry Tech, and our hotels. You translate commercial needs into clear requirements, drive implementation, and ensure our platforms perform at their best across the portfolio.

GuestHouse — Your Primary Platform

GuestHouse is NHR's custom-built booking engine and a strategic must-win for the division. As its business owner within L&L, you will:

  • Drive adoption, optimisation, and commercial performance of GuestHouse across the portfolio
  • Define and prioritise the business roadmap in close collaboration with the product team
  • Lead onboarding of new properties — from requirements through go-live — ensuring flawless setup across all integrated systems
  • Identify and specify improvements to increase conversion, upselling, and personalisation
  • Ensure quality in rate structures, room categories, and data flows at all times
  • Act as the primary contact for hotels on technical and commercial GuestHouse questions

Key Responsibilities

Business Ownership & Platform Strategy

  • Serve as business owner for the division's commercial platforms (GuestHouse, Braze, M&E systems)
  • Develop and maintain a business-driven roadmap in collaboration with Strawberry Tech
  • Translate commercial needs into precise requirements and ensure shared understanding across teams

Commercial Optimisation & Analysis

  • Continuously analyse platform performance and usage to identify improvement opportunities
  • Specify and follow up on initiatives to increase conversion, upselling, and personalisation
  • Drive innovation and facilitate testing of new technology to deliver measurable commercial results

Project Management & Implementation

  • Lead implementation of new systems and major platform updates, from scoping through launch and follow-up
  • Ensure all projects have clear commercial objectives and KPIs

Standardisation & Quality Assurance

  • Act as the division's expert and requirements owner toward Revenue Management and Rate Loading
  • Define and maintain common standards for room categories, system configuration, and data flows
  • Quality-assure setup, rate structure, and data integrity at new hotel openings and transitions

Enablement & Training

  • Develop and deliver training, workshops, and best-practice guides for hotel teams and central functions
  • Support superusers and hotel coordinators on complex technical questions
  • Act as the central knowledge hub for our commercial platforms

Who You Are

  • You have solid experience with commercial systems in a hospitality or similar B2C environment
  • You understand both the commercial and technical side — you can speak to a developer and a GM with equal credibility
  • You are structured and thorough, but you move with urgency when it matters
  • You are a natural connector — you build trust across teams, functions, and levels
  • You take ownership. When something is unclear, you clarify it. When something is broken, you fix it
  • Experience with GuestHouse, Mews, or similar PMS/booking engine environments is a strong plus
