We are looking for an execution-focused Head of Marketing for Clarion Hotel, one of our large and prominent hotel brands. Someone whose commercial drive and hands-on leadership will turn brand presence into bookings and revenue across 35 Clarion hotels.

Clarion Hotel® is more than just a hotel. Our hotels are vibrant meeting spots at the heart of their cities and destinations - built around our newly launched Experience Better platform. Each property has its own character, its own story, and its own place in the local community. Together with Clarion's operation leadership and each individual hotel, you will bring that to life - through the right activities, the right happenings, and marketing that celebrates what makes Clarion and each hotel unique. Developing the Experience Better platform is a shared effort, and your role is to drive the marketing agenda that turns it into bookings and preference.

What you will be doing:

As Head of Marketing Clarion Hotel, Nordics you carry two complementary responsibilities. At Nordic level, you own and drive the marketing agenda for Clarion Hotel across all four markets - Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland - ensuring a strong, consistent, and culturally relevant brand presence across the region. At country level, you hold direct operational marketing responsibility for Sweden or Norway, working closely with local hotel marketing teams and General Managers to drive local demand and guest loyalty.

We believe the strongest brands are not built in campaigns alone - but in every guest touchpoint, every team interaction, and every strategic decision.

This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Real impact comes from combining creativity with commercial understanding - and from building strong relationships with General Managers and local hotel teams across the Nordic markets.

As part of the Hotel Operations Marketing team, you will report to the Director of Marketing Hotel Operations and work in close partnership with the VP Operation of Clarion Hotel, central marketing specialists, and local hotel teams. You hold direct line management for one Marketing Manager, and have a dotted line to marketing coordinators across the hotel portfolio in all four Nordic markets.

What your focus will be:

  • Drive and execute the Nordic marketing agenda and brand management for Clarion Hotel, aligning commercial priorities with overall business objectives.
  • Define regional campaigns and brand initiatives that ensure a unified brand voice while allowing for strong local market execution.
  • Own the operational marketing agenda for Sweden or Norway - including local campaigns, hotel activations, and on-site marketing execution across Clarion properties.
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing plan and budget alongside the Director of Marketing Hotel Operations, ensuring high clarity, quality, and business impact across all customer touchpoints.
  • Drive Nordic marketing summits and forums to create a shared direction and strengthen cross-market collaboration with our hotels.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and motivate your team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Ensure smooth operations within your department, upholding brand standards and guest service promises
  • Oversee daily operations and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
  • Manage departmental budgets and expenses, and monitor and control costs to ensure profitability

Who we think you are:

To thrive in this role, you need to combine deep creativity with strong commercial acumen. You are a structured, proactive relationship-builder who loves the energy of hotel operations and excels at leading teams and managing people through a complex matrix environment.

  • You have at least 5+ years of relevant experience within marketing, with a solid track record of building brands, creating demand, and turning commercial goals into reality.
  • You possess a true passion for connecting brand experiences directly to business growth and finding new ways to stand out in a highly competitive market.
  • You have experience leading people and working in matrix organizations, collaborating effectively across teams, functions, and locations.
  • Experience from hospitality, retail, or similar customer-centric industries is a strong plus. You understand the guest journey, local hotel needs, and the immense importance of strong collaboration between central marketing and local operations.
  • You are an excellent communicator, fully fluent in Swedish/Norwegian and English (both written and spoken).
  • You are always curious, always learning, and always looking for better ways to create value through marketing.

What we can offer you:

  • A truly unique opportunity to shape and elevate one of the most prominent hotel brands in the Nordics.
  • A flat organization with trust and autonomy in your work. We are rebels that support innovation without imposing strict corporate rules.
  • Professional development and growth opportunities; with tailor-made leadership development, executive sparring, and high-impact change initiatives.
  • The chance to be part of a passionate team with exceptional colleagues and an inclusive culture that believes every stay should be a story worth telling.
  • Plenty of social events including smaller gatherings with your team and huge get-togethers with the whole Strawberry family!
  • Great benefits! In addition to our collective agreement, we also offer staff discounts and friends & family rates at our 250+ hotels.

Details:

The position is based at Strawberry HQ Solna/Oslo, with regular travel across the Nordics. Strawberry applies a 3-day office presence policy, but your days will be a mix of office time and spending time out on-site with our local hotel teams.
