About the team and role

As the Head of Inclusion, Diversity & Social Impact, you will report directly to the VP of Sustainability and serve as a core member of Strawberry’s central sustainability leadership team. In this role, you will lead the organization's strategic work on workplace inclusion, diverse workforce participation, guest accessibility, and global and local community impact.

Your primary focus will be developing, maintaining, and driving the social strategy, corporate partnerships, and operational programs that underpin the "People" pillar of the WeCare strategy. Your goal is to maximize the organization's positive social footprint, support corporate ESG commitments, and transform social impact into a distinct commercial and cultural advantage. To achieve this, you will act as a highly cross-functional leader, partnering with central HQ departments and working directly with Hotel Operations to ensure inclusion and social impact are integrated into the way Strawberry operates.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive Social Strategy: Own and drive Strawberry's DEI & Social Impact strategy across all HQ departments and hotels, setting ambitious but achievable social priorities, goals, and KPIs for the group.

  • Ensure ESG & ARP Compliance: Track social metrics and regularly report results to leadership, ensuring full alignment with statutory ESG reporting commitments (such as CSRD/ESRS social disclosures) and ARP requirements.

  • Scale Inclusive Recruitment (Open Doors): Design sustainable employment pathways to increase workforce participation for underrepresented groups. You will build partnerships with public employment agencies (NAV, Arbetsförmedlingen) and scale successful local hiring initiatives into group-wide frameworks.

  • Embed Belonging & Culture (Room for All): Partner with People Experience to implement corporate programs that help leaders build inclusive, psychologically safe teams, and manage strategic mentorship initiatives that support internal mobility for diverse employees.

  • Guarantee Guest Accessibility: Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Brand & Concept teams to ensure brand messaging reflects our DEI values and that our hotels provide an inclusive, welcoming, and barrier-free experience for guests of all abilities.

  • Lead Community & Global Impact: Direct our corporate partnership with UNICEF and drive engagement for group-wide initiatives like Key to the FutureThe Good Neighbour, and Lonely Christmas Tree. You will provide subject matter expertise to Governance and Procurement on human rights and ethical labor standards.

  • Empower Daily Operations: Deploy updated, practical inclusive recruitment playbooks and social data-tracking tools for hotel leaders. You will architect a blueprint to map local hotel initiatives, share inspiration internally, and define thresholds for scaling them into central projects.

  • Create Commercial Value: Partner with Procurement to embed social metrics into supplier evaluations, and support corporate Sales and Marketing with robust social data and verified impact metrics to win complex B2B ESG tenders.

What we’re looking for

  • Strategic & Impact Mindset: Proven experience developing corporate social impact strategies and translating high-level commitments into clear, step-by-step strategic roadmaps.

  • Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: Strong familiarity with statutory ESG frameworks, with the ability to manage data mapping and public disclosures for incoming CSRD/ESRS and Nordic ARP workforce compliance.

  • Operational Blueprinting: A talent for creating structured frameworks that map and track organic local initiatives, share success stories internally, and establish clear criteria for central project funding.

  • Pragmatic Tool Developer: Ability to design simple, compliant, and operationally viable playbooks and data-tracking tools that hotel leaders can seamlessly adopt in daily operations.

  • High-Level Relationship Management: Experience building, managing, and scaling strategic institutional partnerships with public employment agencies, NGOs, and global organizations like UNICEF.

  • Cross-Functional Collaborator: Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted advisor to diverse departments, from HR and Governance to Procurement, Brand, and Communications, ensuring organizational alignment.

  • Commercial Acumen: The ability to convert robust social data and qualitative impact stories into commercial value that strengthens customer dialogue, builds brand pride, and wins B2B tenders.
