International Sales Director - MICE

Your focus will be doing what you do best: traveling, networking, building strategic partnerships, and closing major international deals.

What you'll do:

As our International Sales Director, your main objective is to put Strawberry on the global map for international planners, corporates, and agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

As our International Sales Director, your focus is entirely on driving revenue and creating new business opportunities for Strawberry across international markets.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive International MICE sales: Proactively find, negotiate, and secure bookings for international meetings, incentives, conferences, and events.
  • Present and sell our portfolio: Act as the primary contact point for international clients, introducing and selling the wide range of hotels within Strawberry.
  • Build and maintain relationships: Develop long-term, professional relationships with clients, international MICE agencies, and key decision-makers within the global meetings and incentive industry. 
  • Key Partner Management: Maintain and develop our strategic relationships with key destination marketing organizations and global agencies.
  • Travel and network: Travel frequently to international markets to represent Strawberry at trade shows, workshops, and direct client meetings.
  • Pipeline management: Take full ownership of your own sales pipeline, from identifying new leads to closing the contract.

This is a permanent position for 100% with a start date to be agreed upon.

  • Relevant Experience: A strong, proven background in international sales, specifically within the travel, hospitality, or MICE industry.
  • An Existing Network: A well-established network of international MICE buyers, corporate clients, or agencies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience collaborating with key stakeholders and agencies or major global MICE intermediaries is highly valued.
  • A Passion for Travel: You genuinely enjoy being on the road and have the flexibility required for frequent international travel.
  • Stockholm Base: You are preferably located in the Stockholm area, allowing for close connection with our local team when you are not traveling.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Swedish or other European languages are a strong plus.
  • A Down-to-Earth, Driven Attitude: You are structured, commercial, and comfortable working towards clear targets without needing day-to-day supervision.
