We are currently seeking a professional and visionary HR Manager to join our strong team in a permanent position.

The Role: Hands-on HR Partner & Executive Leader

This is a role for a dedicated HR professional who thrives close to the daily operations of a bustling luxury hotel. You are a truly hands-on partner who rolls up their sleeves to support, coach, and guide our department heads through their everyday HR challenges. Your primary focus will be ensuring our operational managers have the tools and advisory support they need to lead their teams effectively.

While your day-to-day work is heavily focused on pragmatic problem-solving and operational HR, the position also holds a crucial long-term impact. Reporting directly to the General Manager and serving as a key member of the Executive Management Team, you will guide the future direction of Hotel Kämp’s organizational culture and talent development, ensuring they align with Strawberry’s group-wide vision.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-On Advisory & Daily Support: Act as a trusted, daily sparring partner for our Department Heads. You will actively coach managers through operational HR challenges, performance management, employee relations, and team building.

• Daily Operations & Compliance: Take charge of smooth daily HR operations. You will provide expert guidance on Finnish labor laws, the MaRa collective agreement (TES), and ensure rigorous, compliant HR documentation practices across the hotel.

• Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee the practical execution of the employee journey, from hands-on recruitment and seamless onboarding to talent retention and well-being initiatives.

• Executive Leadership & Strategy: As part of the Executive Management Team, you will connect daily HR realities with long-term business goals. You will gradually shape our local P&C strategy and culture, ensuring our people are empowered to consistently exceed the expectations of our most discerning guests.

What We Expect from You

We are looking for someone who loves people, understands the fast-paced nature of hotel operations, and enjoys solving practical challenges on the floor.

• Proven Track Record: At least 5 years of HR leadership experience with a strong operational and hands-on focus, preferably within a luxury hotel environment, premium retail, or a similar customer-centric industry.

• Labor Law Expertise: An exceptionally strong, practical understanding of Finnish labor legislation and industry-specific collective agreements (MaRa). You know how to apply these rules pragmatically in daily managerial situations.

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Business Acumen: The ability to understand daily hotel operations and how hands-on HR support directly drives team performance and overall business success.

• Language Skills: Professional fluency in both Finnish and English is essential; Swedish is considered a significant advantage within our Nordic group.

• Leadership Style: You are highly empathetic, approachable, and resilient under pressure. You are a pragmatic problem-solver who enjoys working close to the staff and managers, and a courageous leader when shaping long-term goals.
