Front Desk Duty Manager, 112,50h / 3 weeks

Hobo Helsinki is in search of a talented and enthusiastic Duty Manager to join our reception team <3

This is a position for a permanent full time Duty Manager with 112,50h / 3 weeks. The start date can be agreed upon, but preferably as soon as possible. The position requires working various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

What you'll do: 

• Lead from the front, welcoming guests with warm smiles while steering daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth arrivals, easy stays, and effortless goodbyes

• Keep the property running like clockwork by coordinating seamlessly with housekeeping, maintenance, and the wider crew to resolve guest needs and operational hiccups swiftly

• Take ownership of shift operations from managing billing, payments, and reservation tweaks to stepping in at the bar during daytime shifts with calm, clarity, and a touch of Hobo charm

• Support, mentor, and empower the front desk team on duty, maintaining high service standards and keeping energy levels high, especially when challenges arise

You'll shine here if you:

• Bring genuine leadership, warmth, and curiosity to every guest interaction and team dynamic

• Stay calm under pressure, stepping up as the go-to decision-maker when things get busy to keep front desk vibes steady

• Communicate clearly in English and ideally Finnish (additional languages are a huge flex)

• Have an eagle eye for detail and operational flow, catching the small things before they become big issues

Bonus points for:

• Proven experience in a team lead, or duty management role within hospitality

• A genuine passion for Helsinki’s culture, food, music, and hidden corners that you love sharing with guests and crew

• Strong tech confidence; comfortable navigating property management systems, POS software, and multi-program workflows
